Should you wish to extend or alter your travel arrangements, please email agillis@fh-incentives.ca; and every effort will be made to accommodate your request. An extension would be at your individual expense and is based on availability. Aqua Points can be used to cover these costs, should you have enough. Flights will be booked with Air Canada Vacations. 

Extension Information

Post-trip extensions may be possible and are subject to availability and the terms and conditions set through the airline carrier and availability at the Resort. Extension requests must be submitted at the time you are completing the registration form and paid with Aqua Points. 

An automatic deviation fee of CDN $100 per person will be applied to all personal extension arrangements; this fee is in addition to any extra costs for arrangements. You will be responsible for any additional charges for airfare, accommodation and any unforeseen costs related to changing your travel arrangements. Additionally, you will be responsible for transportation to/from the hotel to/from the airport. 

Travel Documentation 

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate documentation to enter the Dominican Republic and to return to Canada. If you do not have the proper identification necessary or if you are refused entry for any reason, AquaPoints™ cannot be held responsible. 

Passports are mandatory for entry to Punta Cana. Canadian citizens who wish to apply for a passport can visit the following site for Canadian passport information(link will open in a new window). 

Canadian Landed Immigrants will require a Permanent Resident Card to return to Canada on a commercial aircraft. For further information or an application, please contact 1-888-242-2100 or www.cic.gc.ca

Climate and Attire

Please note the average high temperature in Punta Cana, DR at the time of our Conference is 28°C and the average low is 19°C. 

The dress code for the AquaPoints™ trip is generally casual comfort throughout the day. Group dinners will require appropriate attire. As the weather can fluctuate at this time of the year it is always best to have a jacket or light sweater with you. 

Inclusions

  • 7 nights accommodations at Live Aqua Punta Cana 

  • Return airfare from Toronto or Montreal;  

  • Return airport transfers; 

  • All food and beverage on the resort (as offered as part of the all-inclusive package); 

  • Room service 24 hours a day 

Exclusions

  • Personal shopping or items of a personal nature (laundry, golf, excursions and food and beverage not included in program inclusions); 

  • Connector fares with Air Canada Vacations (if required), can be paid with Aqua Points; 

  • Pre/Post hotels in Canada (if required by flight schedule), can be paid with Aqua Points; 

  • Any travel outside of program dates; 

  • Activities and excursions not outlined in the conference itinerary;

  • Car rental; 

  • Taxis to/from the airport; 

  • Parking costs at the airport; 
  • Extension arrangements. Can be paid in advance with Aqua Points; 
  • Travel insurance of any kind, including medical and baggage (vendors and their guest); 

  • Incidental expenses / personal gratuities; 

  • Scuba diving or other non-inclusive water sports; 

  • Motorized water sports and golf activities; 

  • Medical services; 

  • Salon / Spa services; 

  • Anything not specifically listed as an inclusion. 

Time Zone

Punta Cana, DR is on the Atlantic Standard Tim zone all year. 

Voltage

The voltage is the same as home, so adapters and converters are not required. 

Currency

Local currency is the Dominican Pesos, but US dollars are widely used and accepted. All major credit cards are widely accepted. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the front desk and at local banks.  

Gratuities

Gratuities are included with your all inclusive package, however, should you wish to leave a tip for any service staff, they are always greatly appreciated. 

Incidental Expenses

The resort will maintain an incidental account to cover your personal expenses such as shop purchases, spa or salon services etc., which are not included in the program. Please make sure you settle this account prior to checking out. Major credit cards, cash and travelers' cheques are accepted forms of payment and a credit card imprint will be collected at check-in. Personal cheques will not be accepted. 

Medical and Travel Insurance

Insurance is not provided as part of the AquaPoints™ trip but will be available for purchase if required. A minimum coverage of 'emergency medical out of country' insurance is required for all participants. We highly recommend purchasing full trip interruption and cancellation insurance. Your insurance details will be collected as part of your registration.

Please note that AquaPoints™ does not carry group travel insurance of any kind so participants are responsible for any/all insurance coverage.

Cancellation Information

The AquaPoints™ trip in non-refundable. If you must cancel on the day of the trip for unforeseeable, extenuating circumstances, please contact Allison Gillis at 902-471-9111.

The Aqua Points trip must be accepted as offered, has no cash value and is valid only for the dates and location specified. If you do not attend, 50% of your point balance at year end will be deducted for your opening balance of the next year.
